My bi polar partner is sexually hyperactive. Actually, this can be a big benefit in a relationship. Intimacy causes bonding. Bonding is a very good way of dealing with a person who has bi polar. Touch is very powerful, even for babies. The 'high' feeling following sex can really counteract depression, if you let it. My partner would (like to!) make love twice a day. I have never discouraged him from making love once a day; its very good for you! We have been like that for five years. He's actually very happy. Friends say he has never looked so well and relaxed. I never met a woman who objects when her husband wants her; most women complain that they NEVER make love to their husbands/partners. It's true that it IS a lot to handle. I should add that I am 63yrs old; pretty, functional and happy. if you are a 'touch' person then having a partner who always wants you can be a privilege and a pleasure. Thats how I see it and it works. During 'low' times please remember that you partner DOES really need to be with you; that they WILL come out of it. and that they may be feeling lonely and isolated.
