So I've had a severe cold/sinus infection and my nise piercing has the big red bump with a white spot on it. Is it infection that can be treated with the sterile saline?

I've had my nose pierced for almost a year now and I just recently changed my stud to a gold sterling ring and my nose is really stir and a little red bump has formed, I'm really worried because white stuff is coming out of now, does this mean it's infected? What's the best way to get rid of it fast? I've been using detol/disinfectant and salted water, will this help?

"Blacks and Asians are the most likely to suffer from keloids (a type of raised scar) than other races." It's 2016 how about not being a racist? Who says "blacks"?!

I am happy to say that the chamomile (organic) tea healed my red bump from my nose ring , due to trauma from moving and removing nose ring. I also applied tea tree oil and jojoba oil also it was dried and fell off itself in hours. I will continue to treat it, I plan to get a belly piercing in the next few weeks. Thanks

They said Africans and Asians. Not all Africans are black.

My bump appeared a month and a half after when i got it caught it started bleeding,so i took it out my peircer put it back in for me and advised me about salt water soaks and tea tree oil, i done both think normal salt was okay :| Well after a month of it getting worse after i went back, he then advised only use SEA SALT or ROCK SALT which is pure normal salt has loads of nasty stuff in there. Also do not use tea tree oil its far to strong and will make it red and sore. After using sea salt for about 2/3 weeks now the first week of doing this i saw no difference, however about a week and a half after past it started to reduce bit by bit everyday! Its still a little bump and a little dark around the peircing which is fine, because i know it will fade. Even after the bump is gone continue for 2 weeks after with the salt water to make sure it don't come back. What also helped me is that i could see the salt was drying up the bump, so i put a little tiny wipe of coconut oil on the end of a qtip and rubbed it gently NOT covering over the bump and on the dark shading of skin, only do this once you see the bump reducing in size or going really dry to help prevent scarring and drying out the skin. Hope this helps! Sea salt water soaks do take time so if its still not reducing, after using that method for 4 weeks, my advise would to see doctor :)

I got my nose piercing January 1. About 2 weeks ago I noticed this nasty bump. I was so sad. I read on this site about the tea tree oil and I am happy to say it works. I put the oil on the end of a q-tip, pressed out the blood on the bump and applied neosporin. I've only been working on it for 5 days and it's practically healed. I think my bump came from hitting the piercing with my glasses a couple of time hence the inflammation. Thanks for the info.

I NEED HELP! I got my nose pierced in February. I cleaned it with saline 2-3 times a day. After a few weeks of it being completely normal, I accidently snagged it momentarily putting a shirt on. After this a small granuloma formed. After reading online I tried tea tree oil for a few weeks, but this only made the bump bigger. I called my piercer and they said to try saline again, but this didn't work. I finally want to the dermatologist and she cauterized the bump. This made it go away for a weak, but somehow it came back. Now it is the same size as before and I don't know what to do. I can't keep going back to the dermitologist because it was very expensive, but I also don't want to remove the piercing because I've already invested a lot of time and money into it. Any suggestions? Please help :(
