I've been feeling like I have something stuck in my throat for a month now that is fairly consistent, no matter if I eat or not. Also about an hour after I eat I have terrible stomach pains. My doctor prescribed Prilosec, but after a month I'm not getting any better. Both urgent care and the emergency room didn't help at all, they just told me to be re-evaluated by my doctor (E.R. did do a CAT scan and found nothing). Primary doctor sent an urgent referral to a specialist, but he apparently decided I could wait a few more weeks before being seen. I'm in pain constantly. :-(

@ T.R. : Sorry to hear that. Could it be pharyngitis? Try some warm herb tea, that may at least give you a relief, but you definitely want to ask you doctor first to make sure which kind of tea you can drink, or can't. Hope you'll get better soon.

@ T.R. : It is my story. I went to an allergist and done some food allergy test. Result: food intolerance to more than 20 food. Gi doctor visit and test result: h pylori positive and vitamin d deficiency. Avoiding allergen food helps me to feel better but not completely well.

So I have had this feeling on and off in the back of my throat. I found out that the pain is coming from my velum. It feels like I have a big ole chunk of potato in my throat constantly. I get the pain in my chest and nothing I've tried has relieved the pain. I currently have Mono. Could this be a side effect or something entirely different?

@ Eddy : Hi Eddy. Those whitish substances are tonsil stones. I've been suffering from them lately, too. Read more in detail to get rid of them http://tonsilstonesadvisor.com/ But, I've been having this feeling that something's stuck in the back of my throat, I thought it's tonsil stones too but I can't reach it. I gag if I try to reach it. I have chest pains too sometimes. My ENT appointment is not for another 20 days. Urgent care couldn't figure out what it is. Help!

This feeling of something caught in my throat is really getting me down. I do not feel ill except I have been vomiting two and three times a day for the last few days. It just doesn't seem to budge. It will ease a bit after vomiting but it a,says come back again. Quite frustrating. Wish I did feel really ill then it would seem the throat issue would be sort of warranted.
