I had this issue several years ago and was diagnosed with LPR. That horrible feeling of having something in my throat was due to swelling near or on my vocal cords, caused by reflux. I took 40 mg./day of Nexium and after a few weeks the swelling went away. I eventually stopped taking Nexium and just recently started experiencing those symptoms again. The ENT said that a sensation of something in the throat is their most common complaint in the office by patients. It is not something to panic about, and there are ways to treat it. I know how my mind can race about the awful sensation but logically I know that these symptoms will improve with diet and meds...

I appreciate Jenny's last comment as I'm going through this at the moment. It's been eight weeks and the ENT specialist can't see me until next week. The last few weeks have been horrifying as I imagine the worse case scenario. Thanks for your input!!

I've had this "stuck" feeling in the front part of my throat. No pain, no reflux. Just have the feeling to swallow often. Worst at night. I can only sleep on my right side otherwise I wake gasping for air. Within the last week noticed a lump forming in the front of my neck where the stuck feeling is at. Any ideas what it could be?

Have had this feeling for a couple of months. Seems to be getting worse to the point it kind of gags me now. So far all the test the doctor has run have come back negative including thyroid ultrasound and esophageal fluoroscopy. Really worried about what it might be.

Hi! I have the same feeling. I am on the second week now. It all started with acid reflux. The reflux was gone, but the feeling of something stuck in the throat persisted. I do not have problems swallowing. No pain. Just sometimes I get the feeling like I am being choked.... Sometimes the feeling improved, like as if everything was normal, but after an hour or so I got the same feeling again.

I have been feeling like there is something stuck in my for months maybe even longer. I thought it was postnasal drip. I went to an ENT I was told acid reflex Gerd I was given a med but it's not working. I went to my primary doctor she's done bloodwork and x-rays. I'm going in for procedure in January Bahram swallowing. I think that's what it's called. I'm really nervous about what it is I hope they can figure it out. Anybody have this experience with these procedures done to them?
