Hi guys. Today is my 4th day after surgery for 2 external hemorrhoids and a few internal hemmies as well as an fissure. I feel much better than day 2 & 3.Honestly after surgery I had soreness in the area but not a lot of pain. I was able to pass urine and on the day I got discharged I passed my first bm and luckily it wasn't painful at all. However, the 2nd day was quite painful walking and doing things. Today being my 4th day I'm much better! The key things to do so that you can recover quickly are the following - make sure to include veges and fruits in your diet. Don't take fibergel if you already have fibre in your diet because you could get more constipated. - drink at least 3 litres of water - make sure to have 1 bm a day - the things that helped me was to sit in a squatting position do that you don't put pressure on the anal region. This will make recovery quick. After your bm, clean the area using rectogesic wipes then put an ice pack for 10 minutes, then follow up with a warm sitz bath and then apply rectogesic cream on the wound to enable healing. If you are in some pain take some ibroprofen to alleviate the pain. I promise that you guys will heal much faster doing all the above things. Remember that everyday that goes by, your wounds are closer to healing provided you don't get constipated. Don't get scared to go to the toilet. Just remover to squat so that you don't strain. Hope this helps!

Hi . Today is my 7 th day post op . Was stage 4 with internal thrombosis and dr removed 5 nodules . It's the worst pain I ve ever experienced but there are a few tip that made me feel a bit better. Acupuncture twice a day alleviated the pain and after bowel movement warm shower and massaging the belly while in the shower ( helps with energy flow of the area . And painkillers as prescribed ( paracetamol does the trick ). Lots of water for girls means lots of toilet visits and if you have to care for bandage wound everytime is a nuisance . First thing in the morning one spoonful of olive oil or coconut oil , psilium husk with fresh orange juice and lots of vegetables.hope we recover soon and remember the experience like a bad dream

Guys Day 4 was hell today I had to get a pair of marigold gloves and lots of Vaseline and manually make bm come rather than tear. Having baby is a dreamboat in comparison. I await the light agat the end of the tunnel

Guys It is a good idea to take a multi vitamin with iron to compensate the blood loss. Prune juice and lots of water and pain relief 30 minutes prior to motion and lots of lubricant .We can get through this. Good luck everyone ????

I'm on day 5 recovering from hemorrhoidectomy and it has been a nightmare. The pain in general is unbearable and beyond that during and after a BM. Give me childbirth any day. I sure hope the results are worth it when and if I ever heal. Right now, it looks far worse and swollen and bruised than it ever did pre-surgery. I'm actually terrified it's going to stay that way. If anyone has any words of encouragement to let me know it does get better eventually, I'd sure appreciate hearing it from someone who's been there. ????????

Iron will constipate you so I wouldn't recommend taking any of that supplement. I'm two years after my surgery and I still suffer from hemmroids and painful movements. Change your diet!! Keep careful track of fiber. Two years of hard work and careful eating and one bad bout of constipation brought me right back. The pain after excruciating for the first 2 weeks but it is so worth it!! It looks awful and awoken but I promise you my butt went back to looking normal after just a few months and until this new bout I was doing great! Stay hydrated and always make sure you enough fiber. Good luck!!

I am 4 days out of hemmie surgery had 4 intrenal and 2 external taken care of. First 2 days were really painful ,had trouble passing stool took a softener, no help, took mag citrate and was able to relieve myself somewhat. Meds were binding me up tight, so i stopped taking them. While relieving myself it feels like I'm going to rip out my stitches.....very frustrating. I can't help it my body takes over and I can't stop it. Had my first semi-normal BM today. What helped me.... lots of water, eat small amounts of food, stiz bath whenever needed and ibuprofin. Hope it helps !
