I am itching all over my body without any rash. My tongue is very, very sore, too. I can hardly eat or drink anything. My doctor has run blood tests and is referring me to an allergist, as I cannot get relief, even when I did a course of steroids. I'm miserable!

I have Hashimoto's, Lichen Planus, and Lichen Scerlois. In short I'm a walking autoimmune nightmare. And I'm itchy all over all the time. Sometimes tolerable other times so bad I want to peel my skin off. I have recently read that someone who has Hashimoto's can suffer from Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria, and if you don't get the hives, there's a small percentage that don't. So if you itch and it's been a while, it could be allergies, or it could be that you suffer from Hashimoto's. It's a blood test to check for the antibodies. If you have it, doctors will put you on thyroid meds. But don't stop there. Cut out wheat/gluten/yeast and milk. And see if you feel better. Can't hurt to try. And if you do have Hashimoto's and don't cut out those foods because you just can't give up your favorite foods. Buy a back scratcher. LOL.
