I have gad this problem for about 5 years now .I must admit it feels horrible. am afraid to take showers know the unbearable itching will take place second after stepping out the shower...but I started putting a spoon of baking soda in the bathing towel as well as the soap .and use them together.i have been using them together for about 1 week and I dnt I itch anymore ..I actually wasn intended on using it for my itching purpose .the use of it really for my (shifting cloud rash) some people calls it .but after a week my shifting clout went away and noticed my itching has stop also .I was so happy...now I have stop using the baking soda for about 4 month and this week I notice my itch came down with a rush and it felt horrible and I went back the baking soda and the itching stoped again :-)

all of a sudden my hand or lower legs start itching terrible. My mothers sister and my adult son has same problem! Been to one alergist after another. Given several different steroid prescription creams and pills! Don't work! This itch comes on all of a sudden and stops the same way!? This has been going on for YEARS! Soaking in a oatmeal or organic vinegar bath feels good but itch comes on. I can be driving or just on the couch watching tv! I've lived in dry places and humid doesn't mater. My right leg itches more than left and scaring. Any help would be greatly appreciated . Had allergy testing, pineapple was only thing they found and I've tried organic coconut oil.????????

It was so wonderful to run across this article and all the responses! I wasn't sure if I was losing my mine! I called my dermatologist and told him my symptoms. Btw, I have granuloma annulare and am taking a medication and applying creams. He told me stop one of creams and if it continued to come see him. Well I knew it wasn't just the creams so this is when I started researching and came upon this site. I am so relived! So today I took a cool shower and a antihistamine and the result was so much better! I still got the itching tingling sensation but it was do-able. Where as before I would want to scream & tear my skin off. Thank you all so much for your article and your responses. If I find anything that works for me I will pass it on to you! Thank you!!!

Hi guys. I get terrible itches after a shower and I'm under exaggerating when I say terrible! It's happened for years now but doesn't happen Everytime. And I'm slowly figuring out why. In pretty sure it is because of the towels . Try to use a fresh towel Everytime, even the slightest bit of damp towel can trigger it on me.i could be totally wrong but I'm sure it does help me. Hope this helps you guys as I understand your pain:(

I bath every 5-7 days... CANNOT do every night. No soap, bicarb in water at mid-temp., pat dry not rub, move around, mind on something else. I've started putting coconut oil on afterwards (might try before as well). Started on legs, now all over..... Eeeeeeeeeeeeee........... Better now I do these things... Ohhhhh!!!! Heat, just my hand, applied to itch - do not scratch - will stop itch. Get your mind off it too; thinking about it is worst thing (for me, anyway).

I've also been experiencing this for about 3 years now and its one of the worst feelings in the world. Sometimes it's terrible sometimes it's bearable. Before reading all these comments here today I thought it was rare and felt weird talking about it. Knowing that other people knows how I feel helps!!!

Shalom, I have the same problem on hands and legs. This itching started when I got better from my measles but it is terribly annoying. I think it's the soap. I don't think I rinse it properly! And I think it stops after showering of you don't think about it much!
