This is not always the case. When you get older you build up bad oestrogens in your system from chemical pesticides in food (oestrogen mimickers) and stress, and sometimes it doesn't matter how little you eat, you can't lose weight. Testosterone in males converts to oestrogen and they get big bellys.

I really think strict diets and counting calories is a major issue. How can anyone live a normal life when they're constantly consumed with tracking everything they eat? Frustrating weight loss plateaus and the guilt of falling off the wagon on a conventional diet just sabotages any results you've suffered to achieve. I've actually found a very interesting program that's not based on conventional diets but on WHEN you eat normal everyday foods. It's a sensible lifestyle program that's easy to follow and maintain and filled with tons of eye opening science-based info. It's definitely worth a look for anyone who's been on the diet and exercise treadmill and still isn't seeing results.
