Part 1
Photo Mother's Day Card
Grandma might just frame this just-for-her Mother's Day card. Have her child and grandkids each hold a sign to spell out "Happy Mom Day!" Add the images to the front of a folded card and include a strip of colorful scrapbook paper, a ribbon, and a charm for dimension.
Striped Mother's Day Card
Get creative with this sweet card for Mom by cutting different patterns and colors of scrapbook paper into strips. A pink ribbon accents the pretty layers, and a strip of scalloped blue paper adds curves to the straight lines. Use a stamp to write a message (ours says "to my mom") in the bottom right-hand corner of the card.
Punch-and-Ribbon Mother's Day Card
Spring colors and fluttery shapes give this Mother's Day card a playful look. Punch four circles from scrapbook paper using a circle punch; use a different color and pattern for each circle. Punch a butterfly shape from pink scrapbook paper and gently bend the wings up to give it a three-dimensional effect; then attach it to one of the circles using adhesive. Alternate different pieces of scrapbook paper strips, switching between scalloped edges and straight edges to give the card a fun design. To finish the card, use letter stickers to spell the sentiment of your choice to celebrate Mom.
Pink Carnation Mother's Day Card
This Mother's Day card is as pretty as it is sweet. Simply layer a white piece of cardstock inside pink patterned scrapbooking paper and fold in half. Add a personal message for Mom. Make a hole at the top of each half of the card; string a pink ribbon through, and add a tag that says "Mom." Place a mini vase with pink carnations in the card and tie a ribbon around as shown.
Butterfly Mother's Day Card
Patterned paper and a fluttering butterfly make a simple and sweet card for Mom. To create the butterfly, cut wing shapes from pattern paper. Wrap ribbon around the center of the wings for the body, punch a hole close to the center top of the wings, and attach the butterfly to the card using a brad.
