White sugar | ¾ cup |
All-purpose flour | 1 ½ tablespoons |
Cocoa powder (unsweetened) | ½ cup |
Milk | ¼ cup |
Butter | 2 tablespoons |
Vanilla | ½ teaspoon |
Salt | A tiny pinch |
Directions
In a bowl, mix the sugar, flour and cocoa powder well until there are no clumps in the mixture.
Put a pan over medium heat, add butter, milk and vanilla and heat this until the butter has melted.
Slowly whisk the dry ingredients into the pan, small amounts at a time. After all the mixture has been added in, increase the heat to medium-high to get the chocolate sauce simmering.
Continue to cook, stirring this constantly for around 6 minutes and then turn off heat.
Add in the pinch of salt once the pan is removed from heat.
The sauce is ready to use, or can be stored in an air tight container stored in the refrigerator to use later.

How to Make Pancakes with Chocolate Sauce

Directions
Whisk together the ingredients for the pancakes, minus the oil, until the mixture is smooth and no lumps are present.
Drizzle the oil onto the pan or griddle that is being used and turn on the heat.
Once the pan is heated, ladle the pancake mixture onto the pan, allowing each side of the pancake to cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the pancake has a gold color.

Directions
In a bowl, heat the butter and dark chocolate together.
