If you only ever use one essential oil, lavender oil should be the one. Lavandula angustifolia, or lavender, is the most versatile essential oil available. It is most commonly known for its relaxing effects on your body, making therapeutic grade lavender very highly regarded for the skin. It can be used to cleanse bruises, cuts, and irritations to the skin. The fragrance is relaxing, calming and balancing, both emotionally and physically. When you carry a bottle of lavender oil around with you, it is like having a personal perfume, first-aid kit and pick-me-up.
