Whiskey Sours
Ingredients
Ingredients | Amount |
Orange juice concentrate | 3 cans |
Lemonade concentrate | 1 can |
Whiskey | 2 cups |
Water | 18 cups |
Maraschino cherries | 26 |
Orange slices, to garnish | 26 |
Directions
Take the orange and lemonade concentrate in a punch bowl and mix well with water.
Blend in the whiskey and garnish with cherries and oranges.
Chancellor Cocktail
Ingredients
Ingredients | Amount |
Blended Scotch whiskey | 2 ounces |
Ruby Port | 1 ounce |
French vermouth | ½ ounce |
Orange bitters | 2 dashes |
Directions
Mix all the ingredients with cracked ice to form a luminous garnet red colored drink.
Strain and serve in chilled cocktail glass.
Old-Fashioned
Ingredients
Ingredients | Amount |
Scotch or bourbon | 50 ml |
Whiskey bitters | 2-3 drops |
Orange peel, thick sliced | 1 |
Maraschino cherry | 1 |
Sugar syrup | 1 teaspoon |
Lemon peel twist, to garnish | 1 |
Ice cubes | 3 |
Directions
Squeeze the orange peel and rub it on the inside of the glass, and then place it in the glass.
Add cherry, whiskey bitters, sugar syrup and 3 ice cubes to the glass.
Add 25 ml of scotch or bourbon and stir for 10 seconds.
Add more ice and remaining scotch or bourbon and stir for 10-15 seconds.
Garnish with lemon peel twist.
Manhattan
Ingredients
Ingredients | Amount |
Rye whiskey | 2 ounces |
Sweet vermouth | ½ ounce |
Angostura bitters | 2-3 dashes |
Maraschino cherry | To garnish |
Ice cubes | As you like |
Directions
Take all the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice cubes.
Mix well and serve in chilled cocktail glass, garnished with cherry.
Original Irish coffee
Ingredients
Ingredients | Amount |
Strong, rich hot coffee | 2 ounces |
Irish whiskey | 1 ounce |
Brown sugar | 2 teaspoons |
Whipped double cream | 1 ounce |
Directions
Add the sugar in a warm Irish coffee glass or mug and pour the coffee.
Stir to dissolve the sugar and add the Irish whiskey and stir again.
Float the cream on the top and drink the cocktail through the cream.
Rob Roy
Ingredients
Ingredients | Amount |
Blended Scotch | ¼ cup |
Sweet vermouth | 2 tablespoons |
Angostura bitters | 2 dashes |
Maraschino cherry | 1 |
Ice cubes | 4 |
Directions
Pour the Scotch and vermouth in a glass filled with ice cubes.
Add the bitters, stir and garnish with cherry.
Suburban
Ingredients
Ingredients | Amount |
Bourbon | 3 parts |
Dark rum | 1 part |
Port | 1 part |
Angostura bitters | 2-3 bitters |
Ice cubes | As required |
Directions
Fill quarter of a shaker with ice cubes and add the bitters, followed by port, rum and bourbon.
Close the shaker and mix well for about 15 seconds until it is well-blended.
Take 2-3 ice cubes in a glass and pour the drink in it.
Blood and Sand
Ingredients
Ingredients | Amount |
Scotch (i.e. Johnnie Walker Black) | ¾ ounce |
Cherry liqueur | ¾ ounce |
Sweet vermouth | ¾ ounce |
Orange juice | ¾ ounce |
Orange zest | 1 thin strip |
Ice cubes | As you like |
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in the scotch, liqueur, vermouth and orange juice.
Shake, strain and serve in a martini glass, and garnish with orange zest.
Seven and Seven
Directions
Take ice in a highball glass and pour the Whiskey in it.
Top it up with the 7-up and garnish with a lemon wedge.
Sazerac
Ingredients
Ingredients | Amount |
Rye whiskey | 2 ounces |
Splash Herbsaint / Pernod | ½ teaspoon |
Peychaud bitters | 4 dashes |
Sugar | 1 cube |
Splash water | ½ teaspoon |
Ice cubes | As required |
Lemon peel | To garnish |
Directions
Muddle sugar, bitter and water well until sugar dissolves.
Add whiskey and ice and then stir well. Add Herbsaint in a chilled glass and turn the glass around so that it coats the interiors of the glass
Add the mixture from the first glass and garnish with lemon peel.
